A cool language learning game, stories from kidpreneurs, an exotic Butter Chicken recipe… and more!

Entrepreneurship is something that I believe should be discussed about and encouraged from an early age and I love the stories (and tips!) from this post, The Best Advice On Raising Entrepreneurial Kids From The Parents Who Did It

If you would love to introduce your kids to some of the interesting people that changed our World, the book series “Ordinary People Change the World” is a great resource!

The books feature well-known figures such as Jane Goodall, Theodore Roosevelt and Albert Einstein, they are beautifully illustrated and they help kids understand why these figures were successful and the steps they took to make their dreams come true.

Even though my son got a bit confused as to why the main characters keep their small size even after they’re adults, he definitely understood the differences between being a black kid vs a white kid in the early 20th century, when we read I am Martin Luther King. Jr. We have a handful of these books from the series and I highly recommend them!

Any resource that makes learning languages fun is a winner, if you ask me, and when I’ve found this game, I knew I had to get it! I’m in love with Kloo, an award-winning set of language learning card games (and I just got the spanish board game that is meant to be used with the cards, “Race to Madrid!”). The way the game is set up is brilliant, as there’s a color code that we can follow while we learn to create sentences with verbs, nouns, adjectives, etc. My son loves it and we’re actually having fun while learning Spanish!

The creamy and exotic Butter Chicken, from India, is one of my and my son’s favorite dishes! You won’t be disappointed, trust me!  Plus, it’s a very quick and easy recipe to make.

Unfortunately, even after all the research that has been done in this area, many dyslexic kids are still having a hard time at their schools. This article, A Homeschooling Success Story, is an insighful account of how one family was able to help a dyslexic child deal with his difficulties!

That’s it for this week’s finds!

Next week I’ll be sharing some more cool stuff that I’ve been finding online, such as:

♥   A grown-up account on the unexpected bonus of being raised as a vegetarian

♥   A resource that helps kids practice their writing and foreign language skills, while making new friends!

♥   A Greek dish that will surely become your family’s favorite meal

… and even more cool stuff!
